Description

Second image from my 6200MM.  Gosh I love the FOV.  Like I read from most of you, “wish I could capture more data”.  Me too on this one, but clouds clouds clouds.  California snowpack it at record levels though!  I when up to the Sierra’s a week ago…unbelievable snow to see.

This is purely RGB with just a tad of Ha blended in but with no luminance.  I’m very pleased with this rig as detail is phenomenal even from backyard (many PGC galaxies are resolved), stars are round to the corners and the FOV is nuts.   The only thing I don’t like in the image is the blown out bright star Alnitak.  Guess I needed shorter subs?  That being said, I can still see several pinpoint stars in its glow.  Alnitak shines ultra-violet light into the nebula causing electrons to be knocked away from the hydrogen gas clouds.

-john    PS had to buy another slave 5T hard drive as the file sizes are also nuts.
