Description

If you're reading this, thank you for having a look!  This is really the first light with my new Rokinon 135mm.  The lens is wonderful for the price but comes with some flaws, especially wide open. Even more so when magnified here with a 2x converter. I had to stop down to f2.8 to dial in the stars and eliminate some spherical aberration, leaving me at f5.6. But it was still tough for me using the asi294mm as there was still slight tilt. Using a tilt corrector helped but the stars still suffered from some coma outside the center and color fringing.  Which, on a small sensor like that shouldn't happen. I think using the lens straight would have been fine, but I wanted to grab that wider field of the galaxy and at 135mm it was just too wide. The luminosity is captured separately with the SW100 which to my taste is just a little too tight a field. Using the 2 optics kinda solves the problem.

I also tried Lucky Imaging to collect some L data but failed miserably. If someone knows how to capture that, please point me in the right direction. I tried video frames and about 7000 calibrated light frames but I just think my imaging train may have been too slow.
