Description

NGC 3507 is a face-on barred spiral, paired with NGC 3501. Based on recessional velocity of 980 km/sec, about 45 million light years away, in fair agreement with a redshift-independent distance estimate of 65 million light years. Given that and apparent size of 3.4 by 2.9 arcmins, about 45 thousand light years in diameter.
