Description

A mono HOO image with RGB stars, shot over two nights from the backyard.
Besides RC Astro tools, also used SPCC, manual stretches with histogram transformation, Bill Blanshan's NBNormalization tool,
some mask work, curves, sharpening, and finished in an image editor.

The famous tip of the Heart Nebula, also nicknamed the Fishhead Nebula,
is an emission nebula located approximately 6,000 light years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.
It was discovered by the American astronomer Edward Barnard towards the end of the year 1890.
Close to the Perseus Double Cluster, this complex extends across the Perseus Arm of our Galaxy, and measures approximately 70 light years. (Wikipedia)
