Description

The Headphones Nebula is a large but (at 14th magnitude) comparatively dim planetary nebula in the constellation Lynx. It was only discovered in 1939 and sits at a distance of about 1600 light years from earth. Its central star, a very blue white dwarf can clearly be seen right in the middle of the nebula.
I used a modified HOO palette (Foraxx palette) in this processing.
