Description

Here is M45, resulting from my first experiments with my TS-UNC 200/800. Nothing is perfect here but I am indeed quite happy with the outcome.
86x120s
TS UNC Quartz 200/800
1x GPU coma corrector
L-Pro ASI294MC Pro
SVBONY 106 for guiding
ASI120MM
EQR-6 pro
APT, Siril, StarNet++, Astrosurface, GIMP
Up to now, I identified the following issues
  • spikes are doubled but nonetheless parallel, suggesting a focusing issue. As I did focus witht the bathinov tool of APT, which is quite sensitive, I need to continue looking for the cause of the problem.
  • stars are not round, contrary to my very first tests. Collimation is confirmed good by CCD inspector (2.7-4.9 arcsec off, which is acceptable). Polar alignment and guiding were excellent during the sesssion.
  • I need to increase total intergration time. That will likely improve the rendering of grey dust and background.
  • I need to buy a rotator to get all *seven* sisters.

Any suggestion is much welcome !
