Description

Last night we had a rare clear night, and I decided to run both my rigs. I planned to add some OIII data to my recent crescent nebula using my DSI3 pro mono CCD, but I seem to have totally messed up my darks, which I will have to rectify. This RGB image is taken with my OSC camera using my SCT at f3.3 (660mm focal length) - unfortunately the backspacing is all wrong and the stars wonky, so I've cropped the image.

I used ASTAP to calibrate and stack the best 60% frames, processed in SIRIL with background extraction, green noise reduction and photometric colour calibration. Starnet to remove the stars, SIRIL to stretch, Astrosharp, then recomposition in SIRIL. It all looks a bit like a wet sponge, but I was pleased to have something to show for all my efforts.
