Description

A wide-field shot of the Leo Triplet with a "nearby" galaxy, NGC3593. My goal for this image was to attempt to capture the tidal tail of the Hamburger Galaxy (NGC3628) under my Bortle 5 skies. Since I've been imaging with a mono camera, the weather and moon cycle have not cooperated in a way that has allowed me to capture much luminance data on *any* target until now. While there are only about 7.6 hours of luminance data in this image, I was very pleased to see the tail to begin to emerge despite my meager image treatment skills.
