Description

Spaghetti Nebula (#Sh2-240)••••••••••It's one of the most challenging deepsky objects for any astrophotographer. #Spaghetti nebula is a Supernova remnant spreading 3° appearant size in the night sky, which is equal to 6 full moons if put in a line. This nebula is located in constellation of taurus and apporox 3000 light years away. It spans 150 light years across the night sky.Supernova remnants are leftovers of a dead star. Spaghetti nebula is expanding continuously at the speed of ~950km per second and expected to come into existence 40,000 years ago.Older the supernova, larger anf fainter they are.To capture this image, i spent 3 freaking cold nights and used a dedicated monochrome astrophotography camera, a fast 135mm F2 lens and narrowband filters.Over three nights, i collected 8 hours of HA and 12 hours of Oiii data to make this beautiful image
