Description

I observed this object on 18 June 2015 at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado using as 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: Well concentrated core with an unresolved halo. Class IV.

I obtained the calibrated lights frames used to create the final image from Telescope Live. The frames were imaged by the CHI-1-CMOS Telescope at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.

Note: One of the most massive and luminous GCs. Contains planetary nebula JaFu 2 (PK353-05.2).

Distance: 44,037 LY
Type: Hub Globular
Position w.r.t. core of galaxy: Just below the galactic disc and on the far side of the center.
Any stars resolved: No
Undergoing Core Collapse: No
