Description

Here's a false-color narrowband image taken from two locations using an H-alpha filter in  New Mexico, an OIII filter in NM and Colorado, and an SiII filter in CO.  The scope in NM was an 11"  RASA (v2) and in CO an 11" RASA (v1).   The red channel in this color rendition was comprised of equal amounts of the H and S images, while both green and blue channels were comprised of 80% S image and 20% O image.  I spotted what I thought was a blemish right-center, but on examination it looks more like a planetary nebula, albeit without a central white dwarf star.  This region is just west of Sadr.  The dark nebula bottom center is LDN 877.  This combination of narrowband images seems, in this instance at least, to bring out both large and small scales in the always-interesting constellation of Cygnus.  I'll also post a sister image, a tight crop around the planetary nebula.  I had a difficult time finding its designation,  but believe it might be DSH J2009.6 +4114.  Any other insights?  Its coordinates are RA = 20 09 40.3,  DEC = 41 15 1.1  (J2000).
