Description

Image taken during 4 nights in March 2022.

Arp 239 is a pair of interacting spirals with a characteristic curly appearance, very similar to M51.
Its distance is 340Mly, and is located in the sky not far from M101 in Ursa Maior.

The background is dotted by many distant galaxies, most of which are part of the Abell 1783 Cluster, at an average distance of 900Mly from our Local Group.
