Description

NGC 3184, the Little Pinwheel Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy located approximately 40 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It has two prominent spiral arms and many HII regions of which two are named NGC 3180 and NGC 3181.
The seeing was quite good during the sessions, giving interesting details in this small galaxy (about 7x7'), and the Halpha exposures helped to enhance all these beautiful HII regions.
