Description

Hi all Just a quick image of the Crab Nebula (M1) a Test shot.
This was the first time doing a Meridian Flip.
I always point my telescope West or North East.
The south has a little Light pollution from the City of York which is about 7 miles from my location.
I did two images that night  first was the  Cocoon Nebula 5 Hours, I can’t get the processing right on the Cocoon work in process.
Back to M1 Time 05:17 the moment of truth waiting for the flip to happen 6 minutes later it did a very successful flip.
The Crab Nebula is the remnant of a supernova explosion that occurred in 1054 AD seen by the Chinese.
Then rediscovered by Charles Messier, a French astronomer in 1758 while searching for comets.
The explosion was so bright that it was visible during the day for several weeks.
Not the best M1 as I mention testing how to do a Meridian flip for the first time.

Thank you for looking at this image.

Stay safe and Clear Skies. Tam
