2-panel mosaic taken over multiple nights of LBN 171 and LBN 182

Acquired 2 separate SHO sets, 1 set for each panel, ~21 x 300s images @ -10c & 100g, 1x1 bin, ~95% were usable.

Blink / Subframe Select, Calibrated (100 Dark, 60 Flat, 100 Bias), Star Aligned all images with PixInsight. Used the Normalized Scale Gradient for integration - this knocked several sub-frames out.

DBE each frame for Sii and Oiii only, Star Aligned with Mosaic Union to generate a template for Star Alignment, panels were 'matched' images to the template with Star Alignment. Registered/'matched' panels were dnaLinearfit prior to GMM. Repeated the Mosaic Union to GMM to combine each panel into a 3-panel mosaic of each channel.

For Ha, Sii, & Oiii channels: Dynamic Cropped, SCNR, TGV, MMT (& duplicated the Ha here for the Lum), EZ Soft Stretch, StarNet for star removal, and PixelMath Combine with:

R- Oiii*Sii + ~Oiii*(.1*Sii+.9*Ha)
G- Ha*(0.7*Ha+0.3*Oiii) + ~Ha*Oiii
B- Oiii*Oiii + ~Oiii*(.3*Sii+.7*Oiii)

The duplicated Ha -> Lum was Dynamic Cropped, EZ Noise'd, Mask Stretched, STF Stretched, HDR, DSE, LHT, MMT, EZStar Reduction, and LRGB Combined with the PixelMath SHO image.

The image was Curves modified w/ masks, saved as tiff and moved to Photoshop to adjust hues. Saved and moved back to PI, Resampled, and Annotated.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
