Description

This isn't the most spectacular area of the night sky, but I wanted to upload it simply because I didn't see many other images of Astrobin of this part of the sky.

Sh2-90 is the bright nebula at lower left--I think it looks a little like the head of the Seagull Nebula. The dimmer, larger nebula below it is Sh2-89, and Sh2-92 is at the very top of the image. The bright red spot at upper right is NGC6813. The small dark nebula attached to Sh2-92 at the top is LDN810. In the middle is a cluster of dark nebulae that include LDN799, 800, 803, 804, 806, 807, and 808.

Two nebulae that somehow escaped notice in the standard catalogs also appear here:
  • Faint WISE G063.827+00.521 appears above and to the left of Sh2-90. It is described as a bubble.
  • HRDS G062.865+00.932 appears just to the right and a little above Sh2-90. It's a normal HII region.
