Description

WR16 is a Wolf-Rayet star in Carina that's surrounded by a nearly spherical nebula. The nebula is nestled amid other complex and interesting hydrogen structures, and to me, it resembles a lone grain of pollen in an electron microscope photograph.

Unlike other Wolf-Rayet nebula, there seems to be virtually no OIII or SII signal, so nearly all of my integration was done in H-alpha. I added RGB stars for some color variety. The result is a sort-of-true-color image, but with the brightness of the nebulosity greatly enhanced.
