Description

The 13th, 14th and 15th august I finally had a chance to take out my telescope and image again after the long summer pause. The nights are slowly getting darker and we had these nights 2 hours of almost dark sky. Too little time to image something and I tried instead my new guidescope and guide camera (Skywatcher Evoguide and ZWO asi 290 mono).

I had problems the week before trying to make the asi 290 work together with my main imaging camera (asi 071). Even with correct settings in phd (choosing ZWO:s native drivers and than choosing asi 290 as guide camera), the main camera was disconnected time to time. (I used ascom drivers for asi 071 in N.I.N.A.).

Than, suddenly it worked (I thought) and the 13th everything worked perfectly, but, after an hour of imaging, I got the message from N.I.N.A. that the main camera was "removed".

I than replaced the usb3 cable that goes from the hub (Startech 7 ports) with a usb3 cable from Lindy Cromo and moved the usb cable of the asi 290 to port 7. I also let N.I.N.A. start phd (by the guide button) and it worked well for more than two hours for two nights in a row. Hopefully I solved the problem :-)

The image is cropped!

I hope you enjoy imy first starless image :-) Cs to you all!
