Description

The last night of my La Palma trip I decided not to go to the top of the island by car. I found it quite challenging to try a long but pretty straight hiking trail towards the top. So I started in my village at 700m altitude and 3-4 hours crossing the layer of the clouds I reached the altitude 2100m where I could start shooting the stars. The night was very windy so I had to protect my gear from shaking. In the end I got several panorama images of the night sky from different directions. One of them is this one.

Camera: Nikon D750a
Lens: Sigma 50mm F1.4 Nikon Art,
Star tracker: iOptron SkyGuider Pro
Motion control device: Syrp Genie Mini

Sky: panorama - 7 images per panel stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker (noise reduction), 25 panels with 50% overlap blended in PS. Settings: 50mm, f2.8, exp. 25 sec, ISO 6400, light pollution filter - Optolong Clear Sky

Foreground: panorama – 5 images per panel stacked with PS median stack mode (noise reduction), 6 panels with 50% overlap blended in PS. Settings: 50mm, f1.4, exp. 25 sec, ISO 6400, no light pollution filter
