Description

This image captures a "small" cluster of 200 galaxies located 220 million light years away in the constellation of Andromeda at a declination of +36 degrees.

The cluster is anchored by the large elliptical galaxy NGC 708 at image center. The image is about 6 million light years wide in field of view.

These clusters are said to be dominated by elliptical galaxies, yet this is another cluster that I have posted recently with a large percentage of spiral galaxies in the central region.
