Description

I have always wanted to attempt this difficult target, but it is nearly impossible due to the extreme cold at my location when the target is visible.  Thanks to El Niño, I was able to get out in January and February to collect data, but for the last couple of weeks the clouds have accompanied the warm weather.  The window for the new moon is closing, with no clear skies in the near future.  The SNR has been low due to moonlight and the light pollution on an already dim target.  I decided to be content with what I have, although I wish I had another 10 hours of data.  I have processed this data about 5 times using different approaches.  The final result was way off script: I used all non-obscured frames and allowed WBPP to make all the weighting decisions, and no DBE of the O and H masters.  Seemed to preserve the most signal.
