Description

This will be my last image for a while as the weather has turned badly now. I desperately hoped that the new scope would have a FOV of about 4 x 2.7 degrees, as the FOV calculator tells me, and in so doing get objects in the FOV such as both the heart and soul. But alas, not quite! There is a minor cropping here, but even so I could not get them both in. Does anyone have an explanation of why the FOV tells me what it does, but in practice there is quite a bit of difference - and this is the case for my other scopes too. I am sure I have put the figures in correctly, having done this many times. The O3 was taken under pretty awful skies, and I almost gave up - but I am pleased with the image, and for being able to get both of them pretty much in the frame. The scope running at f4.4 is pretty fast. Thanks everyone
