Description

This time I took new set of 30 second subs with Celestron Edge 8HD on unguided (and wedged) Alt-Az Evolution mount. Got slightly over one hundred usable exposures (Bortle 4-5). EVO (Alt-Az) mount works nice on wedge, even with long focal lengths. I should have spent more time aligning it, but wanted to catch Eagle as high as it gets before it sinks down to city lights. Weather permitting, I will try again this weekend. If everything goes well I should get 3 hours of 40 second subs.

Then I played with Starnet++ and NoiseXTerminator for Pixinsight… amazing tools!!!

Great scene. Unfortunately, it is possible that 1000 years from now people on Earth will not see it anymore because some recent data suggests this stellar nursery was destroyed 6000 years ago by supernova explosion.

If the star really exploded and destroyed pillars, we should name that star "Samson" - “Lead me where I can feel the pillars supporting the temple, so I can lean against them.
