Description

I have not observed this object. I obtained the calibrated lights frames used to create the final image from Telescope Live. The frames were imaged by the CHI-1-CMOS Telescope at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.

NGC 5986 has high metallicity. It may have at least 4–5 different stellar populations with distinct elemental compositions, and there is evidence that it has lost ~60–80% of its original mass.
