Description

It's amazing what can be done from the patio of your house with a small solar telescope, a camera and some patience... 😉

As the morning dawns are a little cooler and clearer I decided to take out the solar telescope to adjust its pressure tuner and focus it. A little before the first clouds arrived I managed to take a video in a hurry. To get the full circumference image I am inclined to use the "natural" image of the surface. To make the "crop" I inverted the image since by doing it, the areas of greatest activity on the surface and the prominences can be appreciated much better.

Telescope: Lunt 50TSHa
Camera: ZWO ASI 178MM
Mount:  SkyWatcher AZGti
Circumference image: 2 videos of 1 minute (one for surface, one for prominences)
Crop image: only the circumference video was used
Capture program: SharpCap
Process stacking programs: AS3, ImPPG, PhotoShop
