Description

Located at 2.55 million light-years in the constellation of Andromeda, the Andromeda galaxy is our great neighbor. This spiral galaxy extends over 220,000 light-years and would contain about a thousand billion stars! Andromeda travels with 2 satellite galaxies M32 and M110. Under favorable conditions, its core can be seen with the naked eye. Every year I enjoy taking pictures of it to evaluate my progress. M31 is great classic maybe on one of the privileged targets of the beginners, however it is not so easy to leave an image which pay tribute to the beauty. Like all luminous objects, it is not so easy because of its very luminous core, its extent and the differences in luminosity between the core and the spiral arms.
