Description

It took me a long time of processing to get this result of Neowise. Because Im not experienced

in imaging such phenomena.

I stacked 4 images (DSS) with Canon 80D and 70-200 mm lens on 200 mm in combination with 1.4 extender. 4 times 20 sec. I used the minitrack LX3 to avoid startrails. Despite a hugh amount of lightpolution I try to get the best out of it with Pixinsight. As a beginner you get dizzy by the possibilities using this program.. but it's a pleasure to explore..

at the time of shooting the comet was closest to earth but nearly not visible with the naked eye.

It's position was beneath Merak of the great dipper.. The color of the comet itself turned to green. (emisionlines most probably by C2+ and CN molecules).

Hardly to see but the ion tail is visible. ..

I hope to see it again over 6800 years
