          Description

The constellation Musca is a southern constellation bordering Centaurus and Circinus. The surrounding neighborhood is home to many popular DSOs and asterisms, but Musca itself contains many very interesting never before imaged deep-sky objects. This field features three newly discovered PN candidates, all three being Oiii dominant objects. Fal5 being the target of interesting for this image.

I encountered Fal5 in the process of capturing my image of the Theta Muscae SNR, which is a very insane structure! My 135mm survey images showed some hits of a circular object in the periphery, which I initially thought to be reflection nebula before doing some more digging. What I ended up finding was an object of peculiar similarity to my first discovery, Fal object 1.

Comparing this nebula to Fal obj 1, there appears to be some analogous structures. Particularly a small inner shell bubble surrounded by a greater envelope with a bright leading edge, full of sharp ridged structures:

as for an explanation of this similar morphology, your guess is as good as mine!

While imaging this nebula, two more turned up after doing a lot of exposure, Fal4 and Fal6

          Fal4:

Image capture was done this last June from Hakos!
