Description

NGC 2158, very interesting open cluster, actually looks like a globular cluster and, according to some literature, it was confused a while ago with a globular cluster. It is quite amazing how yellow are the stars in there, which you can also see clearly on a more recent publication about this cluster: https://phys.org/news/2020-12-cluster-ngc.html

The information that it was considered a globular cluster, and listed among the globular clusters can be traced here: https://web.archive.org/web/20050728104453/http://www.seds.org/~spider/spider/MWGC/n2158.html

The image was obtained under my specifications requested to Insight Observatory, using the ATEO-1 16" f/3.7 Dream astrograph reflector telescope, hosted at SkyPi Remote Observatory, NM, USA.
The images where LRGB in 38/16/16/16 images of 120" each.
