Description

Jupiter and Europa
Among the 4 Medici moons (as its discoverer Galileo Galilei called them in honor of the Medici of Florence on 7 January 1610), or commonly also called Galilean moons, Europa is the smallest of the four.
With an apparent diameter of only 1 arc second, it seems almost impossible to notice any detail of its surface.
Yet, in this shot, with very good seeing, the detail is there. And compared with the Winjupos chart, it is also confirmed.
Obviously Europa was processed separately and then inserted into the photo of Jupiter.
