Description

Super excited to have this imaging rig up and running.  Not sure if I am worthy of owning such nice equipment.  Hopefully I can do it justice.

This is a stack of 75 subs x 3 minutes each of HA.  No Darks, Bias, or Flats were used.  No cropping.  No noise reduction. No sharpening. No processing other than performing an auto screen stretch to make non-linear.   Upload version B is a single subframe.

Stars - some slight elongation if from upper left to lower right in direction if you pixel peep.  Would it be worth trying to see if the tilt should be adjusted on the plate that came with the 6200?  It looks pretty dang good to me and I would hate to make it worse by fiddling with it.

Diffraction Artifacts In Upper Left Corner -   There are some odd diffraction patterns in the top left.  This must be coming from the bright star  Alnilam.   Funny how Alnitak is handled so nicely by the 6200 + Astronomik HA filter.  But perhaps Alnilam being at a weird angle just off view is creating those diffraction lines.   Easy enough to crop out.  But it is odd.

Bottom Darker Regions - At the very bottom of the image there are some darker areas that I am wondering if that has to do with shadow from the OAG.  This was my first time using an OAG.  Wondering if I have the pick off prism too far towards the path the main imaging sensor.    Hoping that flats will take care of that.

Zoom in and enjoy the fine resolution!  Let me know what you think!
