Description

NGC 7635, also known as the Bubble Nebula, is a celestial object located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by astronomer William Herschel in 1787.

The Bubble Nebula is a spherical shell of gas and dust that is being blown out by the massive star BD+60 2522, which is located at the center of the nebula. The star's intense radiation causes the surrounding gas to glow brightly, giving the nebula its distinctive appearance.

The Bubble Nebula is approximately 10 light-years across and is located about 7,100 light-years from Earth. It is a popular target for amateur and professional astronomers alike due to its striking appearance and proximity to Earth.

In addition to its beauty, the Bubble Nebula is also of scientific interest. Astronomers study it to better understand the formation and evolution of massive stars, as well as the interplay between stars and their surrounding interstellar medium.
