Description

I was inspired by the JWST's first light images to take this image.  Obviously there is no point to doing a comparison but I am just happy I was able to even resolve Stephan's Quintet with my humble 9.25" mirror from earth.

Imaging at f10 was more of a challenge than I remembered.  I did not have issues finding guide stars through the OAG but keeping it steady for 300sec exposures was tough.  I even developed some king of star aberrations (the single "spike" coming out of them) that I could not narrow down.  I went to a dark site so stray light was not the culprit, no power lines above, no cables in front of the mirror, no dust on the camera lens, and they don't appear when using the scope with the reducer at f7.  So if anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them.
