Description

Hello!

Here I share my first version for the Double Cluster in Perseus constellation (NGC869 and NGC884) shooted from home! (Bortle sky level 5).
It is a very first attempt since the opening of the skylight from which now also the meridian-flip is possible. I'll try to describe in another post the total re-balancing of my setup
both in R.A. and DEC axes in order to perform a meridian-flip, maximizing so the astrophotography journey!.

I wished to impress the beautiful colors of stars so visible in this pair of open clusters, so bright that is visible to the naked eye from dark locations.
The cluster in fact is richful of hot young stars responsible of its brightness and colors!
The present period is really favorable (from late Fall/early Winter) from the nothern hemisphere especially, being the Double Cluster in its highest position in the sky.

In order to improve the capture of signals I used a filter L-pro from Optolong together with a flattener in order to have a wide-flat field upon all the camera sensor.
Again T=1°C has been chosen with the cooler, even if next time I'll try to go below the zero to reduce more the thermal noise.

See you soon with other sharing!
Clear skies,
Davide.
