Description

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635), in the constellation of Cassiopeia, captured here with a Celestron EdgeHD 11 at F/7 with a QHY 600M and processed in SHO, HOO and an artistic combination of the two, with about 4.5 hours of data. I thought that the EdgeHD 11 at F/7 and 1960mm was the right balance between speed and deeper focal length to bring out the intricate structural details of the nebula.

Within a region of interstellar ionized atomic hydrogen estimated to be between 7000 and 11000 light years away, the Bubble itself is created by stellar winds from the massive, highly luminous, central star BD+60°2522. The star is estimated to have a mass of about 44 times that of our sun, and a surface temperature that is 6 times hotter.
