Description

The Great(er) Conjunction of 2020. This image appears overexposed because it captures an unusual collection of solar system bodies. From left to right: the Moon (dimmed by the tops of pine trees), Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto. To find the faint signature of Pluto, follow the red guidelines to a finer set of guidelines, and squint at their intersection (you'll need to view at full resolution to succeed). This image is a stack of twenty-one 15-second exposures at F4 and ISO 1600 aligned, averaged, and stretched in PixInsight, color-corrected and marked up in Photoshop. (I'm just learning my way around AstroBin; I have no idea why FL is shown as 128mm; should be 135.)
