Description

M37 is the brightest of three open clusters in Auriga, a constellation with so many hidden treasures. 30 minutes hardly does justice to the lovely mix of stars, colours and sizes in this cluster.

In these strange times when there is 'no fun in the sun', it is good to reflect, and socially distance in one's backyard. In fact the diversity of this cluster, which contains over 500 stars, many of which remain invisible, reminds me of the many key workers, volunteers and concerned family members who make life safer and easier for us and our communities during this pandemic; I dedicate this image to them all.
