Description

I've uploaded two versions of this image.

The first (original) version is an integration of all 83 sub-exposures.

The second uses a technique, found by my friend James R Potts, to boost the Ha regions in the Galaxy:
Enhance HII regions in Spiral galaxies (arciereceleste.it)
by Edoardo Luca Radice

I used two filters to capture this image. The first night I captured 51 frames using the Optolong L-Pro filter. And the second night I captured 32 frames using the ZWO Duo filter which has a 12nm Ha band. I integrated the 32 ZWO Duo images and split the RGB channels, to create an Ha channel.

Following Edoardo Radice's technique took some trial and error, and I could probably do better having learned the basic idea. Meanwhile, here is the progress so far, with Revision B being the Ha boosted version.

I will capture more data in order to bring out the distant arms of the galaxy more clearly, meanwhile though, here is my progress so far
