Description

First ever attempt at image stacking and deep sky astrophotography. 25 exposures of 15 seconds with no tracking taken with an unmodified FujiFilm X-A3 and a Nikkor 24mm f2.8 AI-S lens wide open at 1600 ISO. Mount was a Manfrotto mini tabletop tripod perched on the car roof. Shot as RAW, stacked in APP followed by light pollution reduction, enhanced with StarTools, then final edits in Photoshop CC 2015 and a small tweak in Apple photos on the iPhone to bring out the H-alpha nebula detail.

It came out far better than I expected, especially given the lack of integration time and the fact that I hadn't used DSS or StarTool before. As well as the North America Nebula, you can just about make out the Veil Nebula - the red sensitivity of the little FujiFilm X-A3 is pretty impressive for an unmodified camera.
