Description

I decided to have another go with the Cassegrain but this time with a UV-IR cut, but no LPS, as before - as I damaged it. Alas, in my rush, I did not frame this properly with one of the galaxies nearly off the bottom of the image. How irritating! It did not start quite that close to the edge, but alas the weight of the Cassegrain and the ST80 on top of it, plus the camera and so forth, means I am getting a gradual drift downwards, no matter how well I balance it - it is only slight, but when you have put an object too near the edge of the FOV... The EQ6 is at its limits I think, and that is one of the reasons I also struggle to get round stars. This is a crop, to make the image better on the eye, and I used 64 RGBs and 86 luminances, each at 2 minutes in length. This equates to 5 hours imaging time. Thanks everyone...
