Description

I had a clear morning for a bit Thursday and was able to catch the tail end of some nice prom action around AR3360 and AR3361 as they neared the western solar limb.  I only got about 25 minutes before the typical morning clouds rolled in off of the ocean.  I captured 41 videos of 10 seconds with a 20 second delay using a Lunt LS80THa, TeleVue 3x barlow and an ASI174MM camera mounted on an iOptron CEM40.

Stacked in AutoStakkert 3, sharpened and aligned in ImPPG, BatchLinearFit in PixInsight and PIPP for the animation.  The animation is played at 10 frames per second.

Unfortunately I missed some earlier rapid prom motion as shown on GONG but I was happy to catch the few minutes that I did capture.  This was, as shown in the animation, a very fast eruptive prom.  I was able to visually see the changes on the computer screen as the captures were being made.  Quite exciting to see.

The animation covers 2023-07-13-1827 to 2023-07-13-1852 UTC.
