Description

CG15 and CG16 are cometary globules near the Gum nebula. Not a very good image i'm afraid but you can see their comet-like appearance, which is the result stellar winds emanating from hot OB stars near the center of the Gum nebula itself.  These CGs are rarely imaged and are extremely faint. Indeed, I couldn't see them on any of my subs. However, I really like the faint wisps of gas and dust being driven away in the same direction as the CG tails.  So interesting on so many levels.
