Description

This is the culmination of my first six months of astrophotography. This image of the Lagoon region was captured on a Pentax K3 camera in color from my backyard, along with some mono data on just the Lagoon captured from my astro society's dark site and a William Optic Zenithstar 66 and ZWO ASI 174. I blended them in Photoshop after individually stacking both datasets in Deep Sky Stacker. I also utilized Topaz's DenoiseAI on the color data, which worked wonders. Creating a composite of two different fields (color on the entire field and mono on just the Lagoon) made for such an incredible amount of detail in a relatively short integration time.

This is still very much a beginner's image, but with more time invested, I cannot wait to see how much farther I can take it!

If any of you know of a better way to blend composite images with different FOVs and pixel sizes to remove the weird frame clipping that you may notice around the Lagoon, please let me know!!!
