Description

The Witch Head is so dim and so low in the sky from my location that it is inside the light pollution dome for most of it's transit in the sky.  It was a real test for my unmodified Canon without filters to get an image of it at all.  While my main rig was capturing subs of the Embryo Nebula I had fun with my little setup capturing as many subs as I could.  To my delight everything calibrated nicely with darks, flats, and bias and the final image came out a lot nicer than I had expected.

As a side note, I noticed as I was taking the subs and confirmed later while processing that there seemed to be a rain of satellites photobombing almost every frame.  It is sad to think that in a few years enjoying an unspoiled view of the sky even from a dark site might be a thing of the past.  Check out the gif from a cropped section of the frames.
