Description

After spending the last two months getting planetary imaging out of my system I am ready to get back to the much less demanding and laid back DSOs.  Two weeks ago I was scouring Stellarium for interesting targets and came across this beauty and have been waiting for the opportunity to capture it since.  NGC 1333 The Embryo Nebula is a reflection nebula located 1,000 lightyears away in the constellation Perseus.  The nebula lies on the edge of a large star-forming region and contains hundreds of stars that are as young as less than one million years old.  The glow from these scorching hot young stars is what illuminates NGC 1333 and makes it a beautiful deep-sky target to observe and photograph.  This is the result of a little over 8hrs of integration time.
