Description

IC 443 (aka Jellyfish Nebula) & IC 443  in constellation Gemini and NGC 2174 (aka Monkey Head Nebula) & NGC 2075 (star cluster in NGC 2174) in the constellation Orion.  NGC 2175 was discovered before 1654 by Giovanni Battista Hodierna (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGC_2175).   A star cluster embedded in a diffusion nebula was observed and described 370 years ago by an astronomer/priest in Ragusa (Sicily) Italy.  Amazing!   This image, taken January 3-4, 2024 from backyard in suburban Little Rock, Arkansas, USA.
