Description

Saturn near maximum elevation on the morning of Sun 11 Jun 2023 AEST.

Recorded between two separate fog events with last quarter Moon brightening the sky 12 degrees east of the planet.  First decent image following 715C white balance calibration and ADC tuning.  Captured at what I feel is optimum sampling for the rig - 0.055 arcsec per pixel (F17.5 with the QHY OSC, achieved by stacking 1.6x and 2x William Optics barlows).  Final view reduced by 95%.

Icy moon Dione is approaching Saturn ready to swing behind the gas giant.  18 minute WinJUPOS derotation representing a period of reasonable transparency.  Hope the nights will become drier as this southern winter continues.
