Description

M1, Crab Nebula, is a supernova remnant in the constellation Taurus. The center contains a pulsar that rotates at 30.2 revolutions per second and emits pulses from gamma rays to radio waves.
It has avisual magnitude of +8.39 and an apparent size of 6.0x4.0 arcmin. It is located about 6.2 kly from Earth.
