Description

Caroline's Rose Cluster (NGC 7789) is an open cluster discovered in 1783 by Caroline Herschel (the sister of the famous William Herschel).

The star color's in this cluster are amazing. I am very excited with how this turned out. I shot this in conjunction with pleiades the other night. My processing of this particular image was a bit different than normal. I wanted the background sky to be brighter but not bloat the stars too much.

I had to remove the stars from the image (leaving essentially a black background) and brighten it. I then added in the stars and adjusted the saturation a little bit so you can see the colors better. All in all it turned out great!
