Description

I captured data for this image over 5 nights between April and May while waiting for another project I'm working on to clear my yard's trees. Fun fact about M102 - Charles Messier and his colleague Pierre Mechain retracted their discovery of this object, claiming that they had "double counted" M101. Based on their notes, NGC 5866 is currently considered "M102".

On another note - I swapped out the Stellarvue Field Flattener for the .74 reducer and think I'm going to keep things this way. I like this FOV and F/5.25 is certainly nice on a 4" refractor.
